RUD's Olympia Sprints combine the most important features you want in a set of chains:  durability, great traction, and long service life.  Priced competitively, these chains are tough to beat.

  • Outstanding traction on snow and ice
  • Built to last
  • Smooth ride
  • Works well with both light and heavy duty trucks
  • Priced for the budget-conscious

  • Reversible design for easy installation and long service life
  • Alloyed steel material for durability
  • 5mm thick chain links stronger than standard chains in similar class
  • Diamond-shaped chain mesh prevents slippage in all directions
  • Truck tire sizes from 195/75R16 to 385/65R22.5 (other sizes may also be available)

Olympia Sprint tire chains are made to fit the tires of light and heavy duty trucks, including 2WD, 4WD and AWD models of vans, pickups and SUVs. Made of alloyed steel, these chains are also built to withstand the punishing usage of semi trucks. Additionally, the 5mm thickness of their chain links makes them last longer than other snow chains of their class. The direction that you install these chains, whether facing up or down, makes no difference because they are reversible – yet another feature that makes them last.

Exceptional Traction, Smooth Ride

Like the Grip 4x4s, Olympia Sprint tire chains have a diamond mesh pattern to offer a traction that grips onto the road and resists slippage in every direction. Cable tire chains and link cables just cannot compare, as they lay across the width of the tire. Those other chains give less resistance against slipping from side to side. In comparison, the Olympia Sprints' diamond design gives you a much smoother ride than the chains that stretch laterally across the width of your tires.

Budget-Friendly, Extraordinary Value

These chains withstand a good dose of punishment, ride smoothly and give superb traction.  Priced competitively for the quality and features they offer, the Olympia Sprints offer a value that is tough to beat.

  1. Good tire chains. 4 Star Review

Posted by on 26th Dec 2016

These were easy to install and grip well because they are laced over the tire.

  2. Great Chains 5 Star Review

Posted by on 25th Feb 2015

We use RUD drop down chains on all of our fire trucks. They work well and are the best when you have to travel dry pavement then to packed snow. When we get deeper heavy snow the drop downs can't rotate well. Now we carry Olympia Sprint and they keep us going. They work well and relatively easy to install and a breeze to tighten. They are quality chains and well worth the money.

  3. A Wonderful Option 5 Star Review

Tired of bad chains with bad traction...and that just aren't made to last very long. I spent a few more bucks on quality and got what I paid for in these.

  4. A Quality Chain for Trucks 5 Star Review

My 4 Runner and Tacoma both have their own set of these and they work great.

  5. lean but mean 5 Star Review

Posted by on 26th Dec 2014

not too thick/heavy to carry, but they take a lickin' and last long.

  6. Good Gear in a Pinch 5 Star Review

Posted by on 25th Dec 2014

I don't use chains much, but I wanted something higher quality that seemed like I could rely on it when I really do need to...not some cheap stuff that's gonna break at the wrong time. Googling, I found these. After reading about them, I decided I would try them. If they didn't seem like good quality, I could just return them.

I opened the box and found a nice set of chains. Plus the manganese alloy material they're made of is supposed to be really strong.

  7. Whatever 4 Star Review

Posted by on 25th Dec 2014

These chains are not the hottest, but they work fine and don' t use up a lot of my time when I install them on my truck.

  8. Square Links are a Nice Feature 5 Star Review

Posted by on 25th Dec 2014

I think the square links give these chains a nice plus that help to grab/dig into ice and snow a tad better. Maybe this makes no difference whatsoever since the weight of a vehicle is gonna make those chain links dig in either way whether they're rounded or square. But something tells me that the sharp edge on those links adds a bit more grip. Whether it's a marketing gimmick or the real deal I don't know.

Regardless, the Sprints have been good to me so far.
