RUD's Olympia Sprints combine the most important features you want in a set of chains:  durability, great traction, and long service life.  Priced competitively, these chains are tough to beat.

  • Outstanding traction on snow and ice
  • Built to last
  • Smooth ride
  • Works well with both light and heavy duty trucks
  • Priced for the budget-conscious

  • Reversible design for easy installation and long service life
  • Alloyed steel material for durability
  • 5mm thick chain links stronger than standard chains in similar class
  • Diamond-shaped chain mesh prevents slippage in all directions
  • Truck tire sizes from 195/75R16 to 385/65R22.5 (other sizes may also be available)

Olympia Sprint tire chains are made to fit the tires of light and heavy duty trucks, including 2WD, 4WD and AWD models of vans, pickups and SUVs. Made of alloyed steel, these chains are also built to withstand the punishing usage of semi trucks. Additionally, the 5mm thickness of their chain links makes them last longer than other snow chains of their class. The direction that you install these chains, whether facing up or down, makes no difference because they are reversible – yet another feature that makes them last.

Exceptional Traction, Smooth Ride

Like the Grip 4x4s, Olympia Sprint tire chains have a diamond mesh pattern to offer a traction that grips onto the road and resists slippage in every direction. Cable tire chains and link cables just cannot compare, as they lay across the width of the tire. Those other chains give less resistance against slipping from side to side. In comparison, the Olympia Sprints' diamond design gives you a much smoother ride than the chains that stretch laterally across the width of your tires.

Budget-Friendly, Extraordinary Value

These chains withstand a good dose of punishment, ride smoothly and give superb traction.  Priced competitively for the quality and features they offer, the Olympia Sprints offer a value that is tough to beat.

How to Install the RUD Olympia Sprint Truck Tire Chains for Snow (07:11)
This video walks you through the entire process of installing, on a truck tire, the RUD Olympia Sprint tire chains for snow and mud. It includes closeup video clips showing "replays" of important installation procedures. RUD Olympia Sprint Tire Chains are for pickup trucks and SUVs . They offer excellent traction because of their diamond-shaped pattern. These chains are comparable to the RUD Grip 4x4 tire chains. The primary differences are: 1. Although the grip 4x4 tire chains are strong, the Olympia Sprints are stronger because they are designed as a solid chain mesh all the way through with no "Quick Connect" cable like the RUD Grip 4x4 has. While both chain models are long-lasting, the Olympia Sprints are more rugged and able to withstand higher-torque situations like hauling heavy trailer loads. 2. While the RUD Olympia Sprints do not take much time to install (maybe two or three minutes per tire), the RUD Grip 4x4 tire chains install more quickly (about one or two minutes per tire) because of its "Quick-Connect" cable. 1. Got to have if you have to keep going 5 Star Review

Posted by on 5th Jan 2018

The chains are great. They are quality made, they install relatively easy and have a tightening chain on the outside. I feel that is the best part of the chains. You install them, tighten them with that chain, then drive a little bid and re-tighten them. Then they "ride" better than any other chain I have seen.

  2. Good tire chains. 4 Star Review

These were easy to install and grip well because they are laced over the tire.

  3. Great Chains 5 Star Review

We use RUD drop down chains on all of our fire trucks. They work well and are the best when you have to travel dry pavement then to packed snow. When we get deeper heavy snow the drop downs can't rotate well. Now we carry Olympia Sprint and they keep us going. They work well and relatively easy to install and a breeze to tighten. They are quality chains and well worth the money.

  4. A Wonderful Option 5 Star Review

Tired of bad chains with bad traction...and that just aren't made to last very long. I spent a few more bucks on quality and got what I paid for in these.

My 4 Runner and Tacoma both have their own set of these and they work great.

  6. lean but mean 5 Star Review

not too thick/heavy to carry, but they take a lickin' and last long.

  7. Good Gear in a Pinch 5 Star Review

Posted by on 25th Dec 2014

I don't use chains much, but I wanted something higher quality that seemed like I could rely on it when I really do need to...not some cheap stuff that's gonna break at the wrong time. Googling, I found these. After reading about them, I decided I would try them. If they didn't seem like good quality, I could just return them.

I opened the box and found a nice set of chains. Plus the manganese alloy material they're made of is supposed to be really strong.

  8. Whatever 4 Star Review

These chains are not the hottest, but they work fine and don' t use up a lot of my time when I install them on my truck.
